painting ’em when they’re down

Looking through the photographs of people I’ve painted it’s apparent that I paint and photograph my family most when they’re not well.  It’s easy to see why – I’m looking after them and they’re staying still. Perfect! (I do have their permission to reproduce the photographs here!)
